Nostos Seminars™

Learning that matters – Living that fulfills!

The Program is transformative learning, NOT therapy, designed for three broad audiences.

  • Persons who engage fully in Nostos Seminars find themselves energized, enlightened, and encouraged to approach their lives with renewed purpose and imagination.

  • Corporations can expect comprehensive organizational culture transformation when Nostos Seminars are incorporated into leadership and employee training and development.

  • Communities can come together to prepare official leadership and volunteer cohorts to work in sync to enhance and expand community awareness, preparedness, and fulfillment of identified initiatives that increase community-wide quality of life.

Courses, taken in sequence, build upon each other. Each course is three clock hours in length. All ten courses must be completed to earn a certificate of completion.

Introduction to
Nostos Seminars

This course introduces the learner to

1. The universal/timeless design of the human life journey,

2. The nature of transformational-four brained learning, and

3. The role of self as a conscious being with the potential to live fully with humble audacity.

Identity

Learners are shown a model of “Self as Learner – Self as Chooser – Self as Authentic vs. Imposter.” Without identity there can be no vulnerability. Without vulnerability there can be no openness to learning. Without learning there can be no coming home to one’s full potential.”

Intimacy

Participants explore the notion of one human family, all seeded from the Same Invisible but Real Source. Throughout our lives, this inner Presence generates a desire for connection and is the basis for respect. Exercises aim to clarify both why and how to build and maintain relationships that are transparent, intentional , non-violent, and mutually respectful.

Empowerment

As humans, our birthright is Love. Yet, rarely has unhindered love been our heritage. As a result, love’s opposite, fear, often guides our decision making and behavior. Nostos sees empowerment as the Wise execution of Love for the full benefit of self and others. Participants are guided to experience the difference love makes as we live our power in ways that lead to resilience, efficacy, and compassionate lifestyles.

Creativity & Innovative Service

This course examines the roots of why many say, “I’m not creative.”  Then, exercises quickly turn to evoking real-time creativity.  Exercises offer practice in the processes of creativity that lead to meaningful risks, discoveries, and life changing innovations. Each class designs a creative project that the class can implement.

Diversity as Portal to Greater Potentialities

This course describes historical, cross-cultural, and contextual examples of diversity’s imprint upon our universe’s developmental DNA. It also gives voice to civil ways to think about and to deal with opposing postures toward diversity. Values and principles germane to all of humanity are linked to personal, interpersonal, and societal transformation. Exercises are directed toward building relationships without perpetuating hostilities, malfeasance, or decline in qualities of life for all parties.

Always Enough

This course shows how our financial identities are often set by culture, family history, context, education, and ego-identity more than by the actual money in our pocket or bank account/s. Exercises guide participants to realize a proven path to financial well-being.

Good Work

This course compares work that has integrity and purpose with work that is solely done for remuneration. Exercises guide participants toward discernment and authenticity in career decision making. A life span approach to learning when crafting one’s career choices provides structure for course exercises and interactions.

Authentic and Affirming Sexual Relationships

This course asserts that our sexual energy is as important as is sleeping, breathing, eating, and eliminating. Course exercises help participants view sexuality as systemic in its impact. An overview of sexual relationships as a path to wholeness that encompasses honesty, ethics, spirituality, and restorative power rounds out the course.

Homecoming

This course brings all Nostos courses home. Participants revisit their story as seen in Course One and revise it to highlight their learning. Time is spent in personal and interpersonal reflection, with a capstone exercise that gives space for all participants to co-create a vision for their new worlds and beyond. A formal graduation exercise completes the 30-hour program.

Audiences who have found
Nostos Seminars to be transformative:

  • Leaders who have been fast tracked into high performance careers and lifestyles that afford little to no time for self-care, personal development, or relationship building,

  • Front line, essential workers who have become exhausted and/or disillusioned by unrelenting demands or ongoing crises and/or battles,

  • Persons in helping professions who are experiencing “compassion fatigue” or are feeling stuck,

  • Persons for whom at least one addiction has resulted in numerous losses, griefs, and costs to lives,

  • Persons who have come to expect impoverishment as opposed to empowerment or well-being,

  • Persons already in transition or anticipating a transition, and

  • Persons isolated by circumstances and in need of a learning community that offers a welcoming, healthy place for questions, doubts, inquiries, and monumental changes.
